Global Pet Expo Creates Special Opportunities for Product Promotion

New Products Showcase Overview

The New Products Showcase gives exhibitors the opportunity to highlight their newest lines while getting additional exposure for their products at Global Pet Expo. It is also an opportunity for key international and domestic buyers to see what's new and what's hot in the industry. They can look, study, compare, and contact you at your booth for more information and to place orders. This adds excitement to the Show and helps focus further attention on your products. The New Product Showcase always receives a great deal of interest at the Show as well as coverage in trade publications.

This 45,000 square foot space on the trade show floor is set aside to recognize the year's best creative efforts in New Product and Point-of-Purchase Displays by Global Pet Expo Exhibitors.  With hundreds of entries, this is the largest new products showcase at any pet product industry trade show in the world. Each new product is allotted 2 feet by 2 feet of quality space (4 feet by 2 feet for Point-of-Purchase entries) in order to display each product in the best manner possible.

Rules for Entering in the New Products Showcase 


Companies must be an exhibiting APPA or PIDA member in order to participate in the New Products Showcase. Any New Product or Point-of-Purchase Display first shipped after last year's Global Pet Expo (March 22, 2019) will be considered. The product or display must be new for the participating company, not merely a revision. If a radical improvement has been made on an old product the changes must be indicated on the application. In the event of any dispute, Global Pet Expo's decision will be final. No entry may be submitted if it was submitted in a previous Global Pet Expo New Products Showcase.

Entry Form:

An entry form must be completed for each entry and submitted online to Global Pet Expo with payment in order to qualify. Payment in full must be submitted with each entry form. Check, Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted. Please note that all payments via check or wire transfer must be received no later than Friday, January 24, 2020. If payment is not received by January 24, 2020, your entry will not be included in the New Products Showcase. Please follow the link to the entry form at the bottom of this page.


Best New Product: The cost per entry is $250. This pre-show discount is available until Friday, February 7, 2020. Entries submitted after Friday, February 7th will cost $500 each. Each entry will be allocated a 2' x 2' display space. Within this space, you can show one product or a series of the same product. If this entry requires a larger space, additional 2' x 2' spaces can be purchased. If you would like to show more than one new product, please submit a separate entry form for each product. Do not mail product to Global Pet Expo.

Best New Point-of-Purchase Display: The cost per entry is $300. This pre-show discount is available until Friday, February 7, 2020. Entries submitted after Friday, February 7th will cost $550 each. A 4' long by 2' deep space will be provided. If the entry requires more than a 4' x 2' space, additional spaces can be purchased. If the entry requires floor rather than table space, please indicate this on the entry form. Do not mail product to Global Pet Expo. 

Oversized Products: Products exceeding 3 feet or 36 inches in height may be placed in a designated floor space at no extra charge.

Please be aware that guards will be on duty 24 hours a day, however, due to the size of the New Products Showcase, Global Pet Expo cannot be responsible for loss, damage or vandalism of any kind to individual products and/or displayed items. 

Revision & Cancellation Policy

There are NO REFUNDS on cancelled entries after Friday, January 17, 2020. 

ALL REVISIONS to any New Products Showcase entries must be submitted no later than Monday, January 13, 2020. Show Management cannot guarantee revisions will be made past this deadline. 

Categories and Awards

A Best in Show, Second and Third prize for the best point-of-purchase display will be awarded for New Products in eight categories & Point-of-Purchase Display.

The eight categories for new products are:

1.) Aquatic     
2.) Bird
3.) Cat
4.) Dog 
    5.) Natural Pet
    6.) Boutique
    7.) Reptile
   8.) Small  Animal

New Point of Purchase Display:

Point of Purchase Displays are various types of displays such as table top or floor displays located at retail stores and are usually placed near a product or at the front of the store to  attract consumers and promote sales of a particular product. The Judges: 

The professional buyers who attend the Show will judge the 2020 New Products Showcase and the Point-of-Purchase Display Awards Competition. 

Awards Announcement & Presentation:

The Global Pet Expo New Products Showcase Awards Presentation will take place on the Show Floor, Thursday, February 27 at 5 pm. This fantastic event gives participants even more opportunities to get the attention of buyers and media! All products displayed in the New Products Showcase will be eligible to win.

All exhibitors who submit entries are strongly encouraged to attend this special event. The spotlight may be on YOU and YOUR WINNING NEW PRODUCT(S). 

Product Set Up and Pick Up 

Product Set Up:

All items must be brought directly to the display area between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on set-up day, Tuesday, February 25, 2020

Product Pick Up:

Your product(s) must be picked up from the New Products Showcase area between 5:00pm - 6:00pm on Friday, February 28, 2020. Please review the Receipt Policy.

Receipt Policy for New Products Showcase Participants:

Global Pet Expo has instituted the following policy for all companies participating in the New Products Showcase. When exhibitors go to place their entries in the New Products Showcase area on Tuesday, February 25th, they will be given a tent card to display with each entry as well as a receipt for each entry. The receipt will be required in order to retrieve your product at the close of the tradeshow. This policy is designed as an added check to make sure that all products leaving the New Products Showcase belong to the exhibitor. Please make sure to hold on to the receipt as there are no replacements. 

Responsibility for products submitted

All participants will be responsible for transporting their entries to and from the New Products Showcase. Guards will be on duty 24 hours a day, however, due to the size of the New Products Showcase, Global Pet Expo cannot be responsible for loss, damage or vandalism of any kind to individual products and/or displayed items.
