The Impetus Agency
(Orlando, FL., March 1, 2012)- The American Pet Products Association (APPA) and the Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA) are pleased to announce the winners of the Best Booth Awards from this year's Global Pet Expo held February 29-March 2, 2012 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
The Best Booth Award is designed to acknowledge creative booth design and trade show marketing excellence. The awards are presented in two categories recognizing both small and large booths. In the large booth category, which recognizes booth configurations of 400 sq. ft. or more, the first place winners are:
First Place Large
Rolf C. Hagen (USA) Corp.
Booth # 2701
You couldn't help but find Hagen on the Show Floor with their spherical, overhead signage and striking use of the colors white, black and hints of blue from the company's logo. A massive white cube stood cleverly in the middle of the booth and was surrounded by product displays. One of the displays featured innovative reptile tanks with unique padlocks, and another displayed the company's new line of sleek aquariums. A full coffee and cocktail bar with a bartender and fun retro white stools made for a great place to mingle and relax while doing business.
Second Place Large
Petsafe (Radio Systems Corp.)
Booth # 2757
While featuring numerous product lines, this large booth was eye catching to passers by with black carpet, clean displays and easily identifiable company representatives. Flat screen TVs with product demos were used in a few select areas, providing buyers a quick and easy way to get up to speed with the company's latest innovations. A cabin with a sleek metal tin roof, patio and chairs was a welcoming space to conduct meetings.
In the small booth category, which recognizes small booth configurations of 300 sq. ft. or less, the winners are:
First Place Small
This booth definitely caught attention of attendees with a vintage Airstream trailer serving as the centerpiece of this space. Amidst a camping/great outdoors themed booth the Airstream was adorned with the company logo, and inside featured clever meeting spaces, a coffee bar, a flat screen playing the industry favorite movie "Best In Show," and fun lighting created from upside down table lamps hung from the walls and ceiling. The outside space featured artificial lawn, a BBQ, and tiki torches. Coolers were used as tables to display product and brochures, and a tall wooden "camp post" sign was home to product information sheets pinned up for all to see.
Second Place Small
American Farms (Premium Pet Health)
Near or far it was hard to miss the patriotic flag on the roof of American Farm's booth. This ranch house had a truly authentic feel with horseshoes, stacks of hay, barrels, wood floors and artificial grass. Large metal lights created a warm feel, while wooden stools and high top tables were an inviting space for meetings to take place. On the backside of the booth a large wooden park bench served as extra meeting space.
