Buyer Registration Now Open for Global Pet Expo 2025

STAMFORD, CONN. (Sept. 15, 2024) – The American Pet Products Association (APPA) and Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA) today announced that buyer registration for Global Pet Expo 2025 is now open. The pet industry’s premier event, known for delivering business connections and world-class education for pet product professionals from around the globe, will take place March 26-28, 2025, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Co-produced by APPA and PIDA, the event brings together nearly 20,000 pet industry professionals representing over 85 countries to advance the $147+ billion pet industry. As the leading event in pet innovation, new products, and trends, this year’s Global Pet Expo builds on the success of a record-breaking 20th Annual show in 2024, which unveiled new activations to enhance the attendee experience, including new immersive entrances, the Innovation in Motion Experience and new specialty show floor areas.

Registration for the show includes access to exhibits and new product launches, along with opportunities to network, develop business, attend educational sessions and more.

“Global Pet Expo is a can’t-miss event for pet product professionals to stay abreast of this rapidly evolving industry,” said APPA president and CEO Pete Scott. “The APPA and PIDA teams look forward to once again bringing together our industry’s manufacturers, retailers, distributors, suppliers, thought leaders and creative minds who share our mission to foster pet ownership through growth and innovation. This year’s theme, ‘Pets. Where Perspectives Spark Innovation,’ reflects our commitment to the future of the pet industry.”

Notable changes to the show floor include the newly rebranded Aquatics & Exotics specialty section featuring live animals, colorful creatures, impressive habitats, and a new stage for Think Tank educational programming. The Sustainability Pavilion, in partnership with the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC), will also expand for 2025 to include more exhibitors and educational programming, exclusively showcasing sustainable pet companies. The Supplier Pavilion will also expand and showcase the latest innovations in packaging, ingredients, equipment and service offerings.

Attendees can expect further enhancements to new experiences introduced at the 2024 event, including the Innovation in Motion Experience, the Buyers Lounge, the Unleashed Party and Global Learning Series education, to maximize the show experience.

“Both the APPA and PIDA teams continue to push the boundaries of what is possible to revolutionize the show and attendee experience and, most importantly, drive value,” said PIDA president Celeste Powers. “This year’s Global Pet Expo is destined to be our most powerful show yet.”

Call for Speakers for the Global Learning Series is also open. From workshops to presentations, exhibits to conversations, sessions are designed to reflect the best thinking in the field, informed by theory, research, and practice. Learning pathways include customer experience, business growth, human resources, leadership, industry insights, innovation and technology, public relations and marketing, and more. Ideal submissions should:

  • Craft content to address a pet retailer and industry stakeholder audience
  • Provide a new perspective on a meaningful, strategic or trending topic
  • Include some component of interactivity, practical application or other attendee engagement
